Petra unit to service Shell/Petronas facilities in Borneo

Malaysian upstream service company Petra Perdana Berhad has won about $32 million in three contracts to provide maintenance and crane services to offshore facilities in waters off Borneo.

(Asia-Pacific) - Malaysian upstream service company Petra Perdana Berhad (PPB) says its subsidiary has won about $32 million in three contracts to provide maintenance and crane services to offshore facilities in waters off Borneo.

Petra Resources Sdn Bhd (PRSB) will provide electrical and instrumentation maintenance services to onshore/offshore facilities of Sarawak Shell Berhad /Sabah Shell Petroleum Co. Ltd. for three years with one extension option of two years.

PRSB would also provide offshore crane operations and maintenance services, including inspection, testing, maintenance, and operation of Shell and Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd facilities off Borneo for three years with one extension of two years.
