(US, GoM) - Northern Power has signed an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement with Elliott Energy Systems.

The agreement gives Northern Power exclusive worldwide rights to incorporate Elliott technologies in the development of microturbine-based products for the oil and gas industry.

Northern Power has also signed a distributor agreement with Elliott to sell and service its existing microturbine-based systems.

Initial sales efforts will focus on the GoM region, building on existing sales to Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), which currently operates approximately 185 platforms in the GoM.

Northern Power also plans to market the product to the global oil and gas industry.

Northern Power and Elliott have already collaborated on bringing microturbine-based solutions to PEMEX.

Northern Power's recent $2.05 million contract with Construcciones Mecánicas Monclova SA de CV (COMMSA) will bring the company's MT-Power architecture and system integration capabilities together with Elliott's TA-60 microturbine product to provide reliable power for three PEMEX-owned platforms in the GoM.
