Talisman to drill three wildcat wells in North Sea

Talisman Energy Norge AS has received consent to drill and test three wildcat wells in blocks 7/8 and 7/11 of the North Sea.

(UK, North Sea) - Talisman Energy Norge AS, the Norwegian arm of Calgary-based Talisman, has received consent to drill and test three wildcat wells in blocks 7/8 and 7/11 of the North Sea, says Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority.
The wells are part of production license 301, which is in the southern North Sea in water depths of approximately 80 m.
Drilling and testing will be carried out by theMaersk Giant.
The authority said drilling in this area will last until the end of 2006, but theMaersk Giant will also conduct other activities during this period.
