JAKARTA, Indonesia –Indonesia plans to offer for bids 23 new oil and gas blocks yet this year in an effort to stem declining production.

Evita Legowo, director-general of oil and gas, Ministry of Energy and Minerals Resources, said some of the blocks will be offered for open bidding and others offered directly, according to Dow Jones.
