TORONTO –ShawCor Ltd. (TSX: SCL.A, SCL.B) has won a $100-million contract from McDermott Australia Pty Ltd. for pipeline coatings and related products and services for flowlines and tie-in spools at the Ichthys LNG project offshore Australia.
Bredero Shaw will coat approximately 148 km of 6-in to 18-in diameter pipe with three-layer polypropylene anticorrosion coating and Thermotite multi-layer polypropylene insulation. Work will begin in 2Q 2013 at Bredero Shaw's facilities in Kabil, Indonesia, and Kuantan, Malaysia.
