The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has awarded an exploration license in the Norwegian Sea to OMV.

VIENNA, Austria -- The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has awarded an exploration license in the Norwegian Sea to OMV. The license was awarded in the APA (Awards in Predefined Areas) 2007 round.
"With our new exploration license we are well on track to build a strong position as exploration operator in Norway," says Helmut Langanger, OMV executive board member, responsible for exploration and production. "The step-by-step expansion of our portfolio in Norway strengthens our E&P position in this core region."
