Atlantic takes stake in Dutch licenses

Atlantic Petroleum (OMX: FO-ATLA) subsidiary Volantis Netherlands has farmed into four licenses in the Dutch North Sea.

TORSHAVN, Faroe Islands – Atlantic Petroleum (OMX: FO-ATLA) subsidiary Volantis Netherlands has farmed into four licenses in the Dutch North Sea.

The company is acquiring 6% of licenses E1, E2, E4, and E5, all operated by Centrica. The location abuts the UK/Netherlands median lines in 35-40 m (115-131 ft) of water.

They are also adjacent toUK offshore license P.1899, awarded in December to Atlantic Petroleum, Centrica and GDF Suez, and 50 km (31 mi) northeast of the Cygnus gas field development.
