Sidetrack for Pohokura

Parker Drilling's Rig188 was to drill a sidetrack well from an onshore site. Shell Todd Oil Services Ltd. contracted Parker to drill into the southern end of the Pohokura gas-condensate field in the Taranaki field offshore New Zealand. The well will be drilled from a Pohokura South well drilled site early last year north of New Plymouth. The objective is to determine the southern perimeter of the field.
