BP has announced another update for theThunder Horse production facility in the Gulf of Mexico. The joint effort by BP, SMIT, the US Coast Guard and US Department of Interior's Minerals Management Service continues, but according to BP, the platform is already trim, and displacement and freeboard are normal.

BP and its lead contractor SMIT made the vessel seaworthy and storm-safe as a precaution against changes in weather conditions resulting from the progress of Hurricane Emily into the western GoM.

The Coast Guard, Minerals Management Service and BP's partner, Exxon Mobil Corp., are participating in the response. The Coast Guard and BP are continuing their efforts to determine the cause.
