Williams secures deepwater transportation agreements

(US, GoM) - Williams says it has signed agreements with Chevron and Kerr-McGee to transport oil and gas from the Chevron-operated Blind Faith field located in Mississippi Canyon blocks 695 and 696. The agreements include production transportation from the partners' future properties surrounding Blind Faith as well.

Williams has agreed to extend its existing Canyon Chief and Mountaineer pipelines by 37 mi each to accommodate production from Blind Faith and surrounding blocks. The company expects the $177 million project to be complete and ready for service by mid-2007.

The agreements also creates opportunities for Williams to move natural gas from Blind Faith through its processing plants in Mobile Bay, Alabama, Baton Rough or Paradis, Louisiana, and its Transco and Gulfstream interstate pipeline systems.
