(West Africa) - Togo has recently announced a license round for its open offshore deepwater acreage, with a closing date for applications of May 1, 2006.

In conjunction with the government of Togo, Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) is now marketing 3,100 sq km of MC3D seismic data acquired over the majority of the offshore area.

The survey extends from the shelf into water depths of around 2,800 m, and from Ghana in the west to the border with Benin in the east, tying three wells drilled on the shelf and two wells drilled in deeper water.

For companies interested in evaluating the acreage on offer, the MC3D data is available immediately for licensing.
