Sojitz takes Garrow/Kilmar stakes

Japan's Sojitz aqcuires 15% of two new UK field developments operated by ATP.

(Europe) - Sojitz Energy, a UK subsidiary of Japanese trading house Sojitz, has acquired 15% interest in the ATP-operated Garrow and Kilmar fields in the UK southern gas basin.

Both fields are currently under development, and should enter production in 2006.

Sojitz has interests in other fields in the North Sea, plus 30 more in the GoM.

Its stated aim is to double its current global production to 20,000 b/d by the end of next year.
