(UK) - Newfield is moving forward with its Grove development through the issuing of contract awards for services associated with the field's production facility.

Wood Group subsidiary KCI, based in Rotterdam, is to perform detailed design for the topsides and pipelines for Newfield Petroleum's Grove development in the UK southern gas basin.

Newfield has elected to refurbish ExxonMobil's redundant Camelot CB platform for this, which is its first UK sector project. The Grove field is situated 6 km west of the UK/Netherlands offshore median line. First production is due in October 2006.
