(West Africa) - Subsea 7 has secured four contracts for its ROV fleet offshore West Africa. These include assisting drilling rigs under contract to Peak Petroleum Industries Nigeria and Equator Energy; for Foxtrot International offshore Cote d'Ivoire; and for Devon Energy off Angola.
Subsea 7 will also provide ROV service to Amerada Hess over the next two to three years off Equatorial Guinea.
The company has also announced plans to commission five new ROVs from SMD Hydrovision in Newcastle, UK. They will be the latest generation Hercules heavy construction vehicles, capable of operating in water depths of up to 3,000 m and with a power rating of 125 HP, upgradable to 150 HP.
