Tullow Oil plc found gas from Munro

Tullow Oil plc has begun gas production from its Munro field development at an initial average rate of 55 MMscf/d. This production was achieved six weeks ahead of the development schedule and only 16 months after the field was discovered.

Tullow Oil plc has begun gas production from its Munro field development at an initial average rate of 55 MMscf/d. This production was achieved six weeks ahead of the development schedule and only 16 months after the field was discovered.

The Munro development consists of a single well, a minimum-facilities platform and a 5 km pipeline that connects to the Tullow-owned CMS III and CMS infrastructure. The Munro field, in which Tullow has a 15% interest, is expected to produce at a peak rate of 80 MMscf/d.
