HOUSTON – Petrobras has announced that it will discuss its carbon neutral program on Wednesday at this year's Offshore Technology Conference, as part of its OTC Live coverage.
The company’s carbon neutral program aims to lever decarbonization solutions and minimize their costs.
The event will take place from 10 am to 11 am, and will feature Fabricio Soares, General Manager, Petrobras, and Viviana Coelho, Climate Change Executive Manager, Petrobras.
The speakers are expected to discuss the challenges of decarbonization of the oil and gas sector, and highlight opportunities for the development of technologies that are designed to promote a sustainable offshore oil and gas marketplace.
Last fall, Petrobras announced its intention to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from operations under its control (scopes 1 and 2) and leverage its influence to achieve the same in non-operated assets, in a timeframe compatible with that established by the Paris Agreement.
