DELFT, the Netherlands – Ampelmann and Olympic Shipping will support topsides commissioning work on Ithaca Energy’s FPF-1 semisubmersible platform serving the Greater Stella Area in the UK central North Sea.
According to Ampelmann, the platform has only a limited number of beds, and needed a solution that allowed for an increase in the number of people on board while adhering to COVID-19 related social distancing.
The combination of Ampelmann’s E-type gangway system and Olympic’s Taurus walk to work vessel met these needs.
The campaign, which should be under way, will last at least 60 days with the possibility to extend.
