Viriden, ONHYM collaborate on advancing exploration in Morocco

Improved subsurface data targeted across the country’s sedimentary basins.

Viridien has entered a multi-client collaboration agreement with Morocco’s Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines (ONHYM).

This defines a joint framework under which the two parties will jointly deliver integrated multi-client subsurface data and analytics services across Morocco's offshore and onshore sedimentary basins.

They will seek to strengthen subsurface evaluation and knowledge exchange, Viridien added, as the country seeks to attract renewed interest in exploring its basins.

Amina Benkhadra, CEO of ONHYM, said: “This collaboration reflects ONHYM’s commitment to fostering innovation and international partnerships that unlock Morocco’s hydrocarbon potential.

“By combining our regional expertise and geoscientific knowledge with Viridien’s advanced technologies and capabilities, we are creating a powerful platform to enhance subsurface understanding, attract investment and accelerate exploration opportunities across Morocco.”
