Fugro awarded extensive deepwater gas field site survey

Fugro has a letter of award for a site characterization program related to a deepwater gas field development in Southeast Asia.

It is the company’s largest-scale geotechnical and geophysical survey project in the region to date.

Geo-data acquisition is due to start during the third quarter and last for about one year. Thereafter, detailed testing and consulting will continue into 2027. 

Fugro plans to make the resulting ground model available to the project developers to help speed up decision-making by project engineers and improved collaboration with regulatory agencies and others.
