SINGAPOREKrisEnergy has submitted documentation to the Cambodian Ministry of Environment for a proposed 1,200-sq km (463-sq mi) 3D seismic survey next year over offshore block A.

This would fulfil the Years 1-2 commitment under the block’s amended petroleum agreement.

The program covers a large prospective area in the southwestern part of block A, which only has sparse legacy 2D seismic lines. It would also improve data quality over a prospective geological trend in the western section of the block, where several discoveries have been made.

Plans include 200 sq km (77 sq mi) of 3D coverage over theApsara oil development area, the aims being to improve data quality for final design of well trajectories, and to acquire data before installation of Platform A.

Offshore Thailand, thePV Drilling Ijackup has was mobilized to the Wassana field area to start drilling of five firm infill wells for KrisEnergy, plus one optional infill well.
