CTC to lay Eldfisk seismic cable

STAVANGER, Norway --ConocoPhillips has issued a letter of intent to CTC Marine Projects for work on its Eldfisk Life of Field Seismic (LoFS) test cable project.
CTC's program involves installing and burying a 4 km (2.5 mi) cable around Eldfisk in the Norwegian North Sea, with options to extend this to 12 km (7.5 mi).
The program should last around 10 days, with onshore jointing of the cable due to start next March, followed in April by mobilization of the DP2 class installation vessel.
