CCG Veritas boosts Caspian presence

ALMATY, Kazakhstan --CGG Veritas has opened a seismic data processing center and office in Almaty, staffed by national and expatriate geophysicists.

The Veritas Caspian LLP team will focus on executing complex processing projects for the oil and gas industry. They will also continue the company's ongoing five-year campaign of non-exclusive marine, shallow water and transition zone seismic acquisition over the entire open acreage of the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.

To date, over 1,000 km (621 mi) of shallow-water data has been acquired, 40% ahead of schedule.
