SCAN to acquire additional Pakistan seismic data

SCAN Geophysical ASA will record an additional 9,500 km (5,903 mi) of 2D data offshore Pakistan for BP and GEMS International NV.

OSLO, Norway --SCAN Geophysical ASA will record an additional 9,500 km (5,903 mi) of 2D data offshore Pakistan for BP and GEMS International NV. This follows some 4,300 km (2,672 mi) of 2D seismic acquisition off Pakistan for GEMS at the end of 2006.

Scheduled to start this month, the work is expected to last three to four months. Scan will use itM/V Geo Searcher with a 6,000 m (19,685 ft) streamer and 4,200 cu in (68,826 cc) source.
