OSLO, Norway –GEMS International NV has awarded SCAN Geophysical ASA a 2D survey offshore Sri Lanka.
SCAN says it will use its M/VGeo Searcher with a 6,000-m (19,685-ft) streamer and a 4,200 cu in (68,826 cc) source array on the survey which is scheduled to be completed in Sept. 2007.
GEMS specializes in EEZ (exclusive economic zone) and UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) studies and is conducting the survey on behalf of the government of Sri Lanka as part of its outer continental shelf delimiting study.
