ABERDEEN, UK --Oilexco has awarded subsurface interpretation specialist Ikon Science a $30 million contract for work on its UK North Sea properties.
Ikon will provide rock physics-directed prospect evaluation, geomodeling, and reservoir science characterization for Oilexco's program of exploration, appraisal, and development drilling.
The two companies have worked together since 2003, Ikon helping Oliexco to discover Brenda and its satellite Nicol, which recently came on stream. Othe recent influence were the Huntington Forties/Jurassic discoveries and the present Shelley appraisal well in blocks 22/2b and 22/3a.
