Fugro nets Far East 3D contracts

LEIDSCHENDAM, The Netherlands –Fugro has won $68.5 million in 3D seismic survey contracts in Australia and Indonesia.

ConocoPhillips has awarded a 1,700 sq km (656 sq mi) 3D survey off North Western Australia to begin late this month using theGeo Atlantic.

ConocoPhillips also awarded a contract for a 3D survey off Indonesia. StatoilHydro sent a letter of intent to Fugro for the survey to cover an adjacent block. Together the survey on both blocks would cover 3,500 sq km (1,351 sq mi). TheGeo Atlantic is scheduled to undertake this following its Australian project.

All the work is to be done with a 10-streamer spread.
