Wavefield to conduct North Falkland basin survey

SALISBURY, UK -- Rockhopper has commissioned Wavefield Inseis to conduct a site survey over its Ernest prospect in license PL024 offshore the Falkland Islands.
The Ernest prospect is an independent four-way dip closed structure in 160 m (525 ft) of water approximately 100 km (62 mi) offshore the Falkland Islands.
"We are very pleased that Wavefield is able to perform this site survey over Ernest, which is currently the lowest risk prospect in our portfolio," says Sam Moody, MD of Rockhopper. "The 3D seismic in our licenses PL032 and PL033 means that we should not require additional site surveys in that area to prepare for drilling."
