SeaBird charters seismic conversion vessel

SeaBird Exploration Ltd. has signed a five-year bareboat charter with Økland Fiskebåtrederi AS for the Newfoundland Otter. The trawler will be converted into a Source/2D seismic vessel named Munin Explorer.

DUBAI, U.A.E. --SeaBird Exploration Ltd. has signed a five-year bareboat charter with Økland Fiskebåtrederi AS for the Newfoundland Otter. The trawler will be converted into a Source/2D seismic vessel named Munin Explorer.

The contract value for the firm charter is $33 million and is scheduled to begin in June 2007. SeaBird has three one-year options plus the option to purchase the vessel during the first five years.
