BERGEN, Norway --China National Petroleum Corp. has contracted Wavefield Inseis for a 3D seismic survey offshore Libya in 1Q 2007.

The survey, usingGeowave Commander is scheluded to cover 850 sq km (328 sq mi) in block 17-4 of the Pelagian basin in 200-400 m (656-1,312 ft) of water. Duration of the survey is expect to be 6 weeks.
