LONDON -- Ikon Science and ARKeX have agreed to facilitate jointly the development and promotion of technologies, services, and studies to de-risk complex plays.

The new service is a modeling workflow using full tensor gravity gradiometry data, well information, and 2D/3D seismic data integrated wtih rock physics and reservoir characterization workflows. The result is a 3D geologcial model wtih structure, stratigraphy, and rock properties, according to the companies.

Combining gradiometry with rock physics creates new "sweet spot" methods, low-cost 4D reservoir monitoring, and savings in cost and environmental impact, according to the joint venture.
