New, reprocessed seismic data available for New Zealand

New Zealand’s Crown Minerals is making available 2,375 km (1,476 mi) of 2D seismic data collected over the Campbell Plateau and Bounty Trough.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand – New Zealand’s Crown Minerals is making available 2,375 km (1,476 mi) of 2D seismic data collected over the Campbell Plateau and Bounty Trough. It also is releasing 5,934 km (3.687 mi) of recently reprocessed 2D data taken by Hunt Petroleum in the 1970s and 1980s.

The government also plans to process and interpret the new data with the aim of releasing a Block Offer later this year or early in 2011.
