DENVER – The recently launched Insight Earth 1.4 is one of TerraSpark Geosciences LLC’s featured products at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists International Exposition and 80th Annual Meeting.

“This version offers advancements in horizon edge stacking, Automated Fault Extraction, curvature attributes, horizon dip compensation, and improved velocity modeling,” says Geofrey Dorn, CEO and president.

The horizon edge stacking function, in combination with improvements to TerraSpark’s Automated Fault Extraction, upgrades fault image quality and clarity with higher resolution algorithms and improves the S/N ratio of fault features, including lower angle faults.

The new curvature attributes improve fracture zone identification and adds accuracy to fault interpretation, says TerraSpark.

In this release, most processes in the interpretation workflow are compensated for horizon dip, and a mesh-built mask volume feature improves and accelerates the salt body interpretation workflow.
