HOUSTON – Hyperdynamics Corp. and joint operating partner Dana Petroleum has agreed on a two-year exploration program starting in 2011 for the Republic of Guinea.
The exploration program for the offshore concession includes the drilling of up to three exploration wells, two of which are firm and one contingent on exploration prospectivity. Drilling is scheduled to begin in 4Q 2011.
The drilling program is expected to be followed in 4Q 2012 by a contingent 4,000 sq km (1,544 sq mi) 3D seismic survey that would begin the exploration in the ultra deepwater section of the concession.
Hyperdynamics holds 77% interest with Dana holding the remainder.
