Tullow delays Netherlands well pending seismic survey
Offshore staff
LONDON -- Tullow Oil expects to complete a new 3D seismic survey in its E quadrant acreage offshore the Netherlands next month.
The aim of the high-spec, 1,500-sq km (579-sq mi) survey is to further de-risk a maturing prospect inventory. Due to revisions to the work program, and the need to interpret the processed data, Tullow will not now drill its first operated well on the Dutch shelf before the second half of 2011.
However, the company will shortly participate in its first exploration well in the sector, targeting the Carboniferous Muscovite prospect which extends into block E13b.
