HOUSTON – ION Geophysical Corp. has contracted to outfit China’s BGP Inc.’s new 12-streamer 3D seismic vessel the Prospector with a DigiSTREAMER acquisition system.
BGP, China National Petroleum Corp. and ION previously cooperated on the 2D Challenger seismic vessel.
DigiSTREAMER’s solid gel design allows for reduction of noise and risk while continuously recording broad bandwidth data in a wider weather window for high productivity, safety, and data quality, says ION.
