NEW DELHI, India -- ONGC Videsh Ltd. has entered a production sharing contract with CUPET for Cuba's offshore exploration blocks N-34 and N-35 which cover about 4,300 sq km in deep waters.
"Cuba offers very promising exploration play and OVL is very pleased to enhance its investments in the country," said R. S. Butola, managing director of OVL. "Besides, execution of the production sharing contract for the blocks N-34 and N-35 marks the entry of OVL in Latin America as an operator which will give fillip to its activities in the region."
