WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- A seismic survey over near-shore PEP 38729 in northern Taranaki basin has begun by New Zealand Oil & Gas to span a gap between existing offshore and onshore seismic lines.

The object of the program is to improve the structural definition of the Felix and Opito-Updip prospects and identify a drilling location.

Data processing and integration is expected to be finished before year-end, with the drilling decision early next year.
