LEIDSCHENDAM, Netherlands -- Ophir Energy has awarded Fugro a one-year contract for a current measurement project with moorings in water depths of up to 1,700 m (5,577 ft) off the Tanzania coast

Fugro also has won a contract for a joint industry metocean study of the Tanzania and Mozambique coast (TAMOMS) for StatoilHydro, Dominion Tanzania Ltd, Petrobras, Petronas, and Anadarko. This contract, also for a year, covers a current and wave study involving six currents and two waves, and metrological moorings in water depths ranging from 1,100 to 3,000 m (3,609 to 9,843 ft).
