MELBOURNE, Australia -- MEO Australia has completed the acquisition of the 250-sq-km (97-sq-mi) Artemis 3D seismic survey in WA-360-P in the Carnarvon basin offshore Western Australia.

Processing of the survey is scheduled to take up to 90 days, the company says. MEO expects to receive the completed survey by the end of June, and will integrate it with an existing 3D survey.

The survey is designed to provide 3D coverage over the extension of the Artemis prospect in preparation for drilling of an exploration well in 2010.

MEO expects to begin a formal farm-out process during the second quarter to secure funding for the proposed well.
