Polar Duchess to do 3D survey offshore South Africa for Shell

Shell South Africa Upstream B.V. has signed a letter of intent with Dolphin Geophysical for a 3D seismic survey totaling as much as 8,000 sq km (3,089 sq mi) offshore South Africa.

BERGEN, Norway –Shell South Africa Upstream B.V. has signed a letter of intent with Dolphin Geophysical for a 3D seismic survey totaling as much as 8,000 sq km (3,089 sq mi) offshore South Africa.
The survey will be acquired by M/VPolar Duchess and will commence in 4Q 2012.
