ASKER, Norway –TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co. has started its multi-client Orion 3D Gulf of Mexico survey. The 181 South area is the primary block to be covered The survey is planned for 175 OCS blocks covering 4,100 sq km (1,583 sq mi) in the Lloyd Ridge area.
TGS-NOPEC is using the FugroGeoBarents seismic vessel. Data is recorded with 9,000 m (5.6 mi) streamer offsets and will be processed with both pre-stack time and pre-stack depth imaging. Partial offset stacks will be generated for amplitude variation with offset evaluation.
