DARLINGTON, UK --StatoilHydro has awarded CTC Marine Projects a life-of-field seismic contract as part of its Snorre field Focused Seismic Monitoring project in the Norwegian North Sea.
CTC will perform the work in May using its new-build vesselVolantis and the PT-1 trencher vehicle.
The scope will include simultaneous lay and trenching of two 5 km (3.1 mi) seismic cable arrays, with further lay and trenching work to be conducted on 4 km (2.48 mi) of lead-in cables.
