TGS-Nopec starts Greenland data acquisition

TGS-Nopec Geophysical Co. has started its 2008 Greenland data acquisition program scheduled to add 138,000 km (85,750 mi) of aeromagnetic and aerogravity data and 8,300 km (5,157 mi) of 2D seismic data to its collection.

ASKER, Norway –TGS-Nopec Geophysical Co. has started its 2008 Greenland data acquisition program scheduled to add 138,000 km (85,750 mi) of aeromagnetic and aerogravity data and 8,300 km (5,157 mi) of 2D seismic data to its collection.

The aeromagnetic/aerogravity projects are in the Labrador Sea/ Ungava basin and offshore northeast Greenland. TGS-Nopec plans to process both surveys in Asker with results available in 4Q 2008.

The 2D seismic is scheduled to begin in 3Q 2008 for Baffin Bay.
