MELBOURNE, Australia –PGS Australia has completed a 3D seismic survey for MEO Australia on the Northwest Shelf. The M/V Orient Explorer has acquired 250 sq km (96.5 sq mi) of new 3D data in permits WA-360-P and WA-361-P.
Following that, acquisition of 250 line km (155 mi) of 2D in WA-359-P began. That survey was interrupted by cyclone Melanie at the end of 2007 and is scheduled for completion whenOrient Explorer returns to the area.
