The new deepwater survey will be adjacent to Survey A, where Hyperdynamics acquired its initial 3,635-sq km 3-D seismic survey in 2010. The survey will target Upper Cretaceous submarine fan structures along the Transform margin trend of Guinea.

The Company plans to award the contract in August and expects to begin the survey before year end.

Hyperdynamics also approved a revised 2011 budget of $95 million that includes two exploration wells in 4Q 2011 in addition to the seismic work.
