Serica Energy completes 2D seismic survey

Serica Energy Corp. completed a 2D seismic survey on its Biliton block in the Java Sea between the islands of Java and Kalimantan. This survey is an infill program to gather data over several large structures identified from a 2004 survey.

In January and February 2004, the company acquired 2,000 km of 2D seismic data over the block. During April 2005, the company acquired an additional 2,300 km of 2D seismic data, along with gravity and magnetic data. Processing and interpretation of the new data will take six months.

The company signed the Biliton production sharing contract on Dec. 30, 2003. Serica Energy Corp. is operator with 90% interest.

The company is tendering for a suitable rig to drill a three-well program on the block in late 2005 or early 2006.
