OSLO, Norway — Magseis Fairfield has signed an agreement with Exxon Mobil affiliate, Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Ltd., for a large ocean-bottom node (OBN) project offshore Guyana.
The project is expected to be conducted using Magseis' ZXPLR technology and last for a minimum 14 months.
Earlier this year
In late July the company announced it received an award for an OBN contract in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM).
In late June TGS said it entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in Magseis Fairfield for about NOK2,333 million (US$238 million).
In February Magseis signed the contract for a 4D OBN survey in the North Sea. The one-month project was scheduled to start in second-quarter 2022.
In late January Magseis reported an undisclosed repeat customer exercised an option for another 4D OBN survey in the US GoM, and it also was scheduled to start in second-quarter 2022 and run for approximately two months.
