    CGG providing 4D services for North Sea Gullfaks area

    MASSY, France — Equinor has awarded CGG a multiyear contract to provide 4D seismic imaging via multiple towed-streamer and ocean-bottom cable (OBC) datasets over the Gullfaks Field area in the Norwegian North Sea.

    The Gullfaks asset team will analyze the 4D seismic images to optimize recovery from the field.

    CGG’s work scope includes reimaging of nine vintages of towed-streamer data and eight vintages of OBC data, followed by repeat imaging of up to three subsequent monitoring surveys.
