Magseis Fairfield nets OBN survey award

Magseis Fairfield has received a conditional award for an ocean bottom node survey from an undisclosed repeat customer.

OSLO, Norway – Magseis Fairfield has received a conditional award for an ocean bottom node (OBN) survey from an undisclosed repeat customer.

The two-month project is expected to start in 3Q 2022.

CEO Carel Hooijkaas said: “With this award we are exploring synergy potential with other opportunities for the 2022 season.”

In addition, the company has appointed Fons ten Kroode as chief geophysicist, effective Feb. 1, 2022.
