Polarcus unable to fulfil Asia/Pacific survey assignment

DUBAI, UAE – Eni has terminated a contract awarded last summer to Polarcus for 3D seismic data acquisition in the Asia/Pacific region.
The one-month program was due to start in the current quarter.
However, following the decision by Polarcus’ lenders to withdraw their support for the company’s ongoing vessel operations, an alternative vessel could not be sourced.
Eni has terminated the contract and indicated that it intends to pursue the relevant Polarcus subsidiary for damages.
